Interim Low-Moisture
Encapsulation Maintenance
Low-Moisture Encapsulation on an interim basis is the most cost effective way to clean, maintain and prolong the life of your carpet. Crystallizing polymers blended with cleaning agents release and encapsulate soil particles without harming the carpet fibers. These crystal-like polymers attract dirt like a magnet and suspend it for easy removal by extraction (specialized vacuuming). This process has no odor and dries quickly. The specialized vacuuming system also maximizes the appearance of the carpet pile.
The process is environmentally safe and effective for all types of carpeting. It is backed by major carpet manufacturers with whom Action Time has ongoing working relationships. This ensures we stay at the forefront of manufacturer recommended cleaning technology.
Key Benefits:
- Extended carpet life which decreases the frequency of costly replacement
- Maintains consistent appearance levels
- Meets environmental criteria for a healthy indoor environment
- Efficient enough to perform on a regular schedule

Note: Bonneting & some hot water extraction methods may void your manufacturer’s warranty.
7 Steps for Best Spot
Removal Results
- The quicker spots are addressed, the better the outcome of the removal.
- Know your carpet’s fiber make-up. The registry provided by The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification lists carpet cleaners that can determine the carpet’s fiber type.
- Know where spots are likely to occur. It is vital that technicians carry a general-purpose spotter and specialty spotters at all times.
- A general purpose water-based spotter will remove many spots in high soil-tracked areas.
- Oil or solvent-based spotters work best on grease and tar spots.
- Enzyme-based spotters work best on protein or fatty soils like vomit or blood.
- Always blot spots with a cloth when applying a spotter. Do not rub the spotted area. Rubbing re-soils.
Note: Scrub spots only when using Enzyme Spot Remover and the ActionBrush.
Deep Cleaning/Restorative
Maintenance – Low
Moisture Hot Water
Extraction
The object of deep cleaning is to remove any embedded dry soils, oily substances and any residue build-up. Even if not readily visible, these substances can damage fibers and reduce carpet life. Carpet appearance is restored by injecting water (at a much lower pressure than standard hot water extraction methods) into the carpet fiber, agitating and then extracting the soiled solution with suction. This system does not saturate the carpet, improving results and reducing dry time. Standard hot water extraction methods require six hours or more of drying time, oftentimes requiring up to 24 hours! Our Low-Moisture system completely dries within a few short hours, or less. |
